I had been planning to take a little break, as far as my photography was concerned, mainly due to the unending stack of photos that still needed to be edited. This changed when Sarah contacted me, requesting a shoot with a friend. Ideas were collected, and I certainly felt inspired. Spontaneously I decided to take a train up for the weekend, to carry out.
Both seemed rather excited when I arrived at Sarah’s home with my hair and make up artist, and they had prepared a snack area, and piled up a selection of possible wear, props, and extras. There was so much that we realized it couldn’t all be done in one shoot, and that we would likely be meeting again in summer, to finish what had been started…
The concept was simple: as per usual three outfits were selected for each model, and then we began. Much of the shoot was done inside as it was fairly stormy outside made worse by bouts of rain, however, the face paint shoot necessarily required an outdoors feel, and so I spent a fair bit of time adjusting the results in photoshop.
The shoot took a long time (almost four hours), which is something I like to avoid due to the unnecessary build up of photos and waning concentration, but the photos were worth it, and I had a lovely time with two very cooperative and kind models. :)
