Larissa and I had planned an outdoor shoot alongside the Rhein. I asked her to bring various outerwear options - scarves, jackets, etc. - and thought we were well prepared for the icy winds.
We were wrong.
Nothing could have prepared us for that kind of cold, the cold that seeps through your clothes and settles in your bones. Not to forget the occasional flurries of light snow…
Larissa, who is used to bearing difficult temperatures due to the fact that she trains for triathlons on a daily basis, worked with me for over an hour, regardless of the frosty setting. We used three different outfits and stayed along the Rhein, climbing trees and making the most of our green surroundings. It was nice and peaceful; the bad weather seemed to be keeping everyone indoors and so we were alone for most of the time - I only found one photo with a stranger in the background!
Larissa has beautiful, long, blond hair and a flawless complexion with a few well-proportioned freckles. In the editing process there was barely any need for beauty retouches, and the natural, diffused light that shone through the clouds that the photos automatically held a degree of softness, which was a pleasure to work with!
How glad we were when it was time to go back indoors to look through the photos and sign the contracts!
